The Tegen Accessories team have one major thing in common... their love of hair accessories! We've put our heads together and each picked out our absolute favourite Tegen hair accessory to share with you. Hopefully our recommendations will give you some inspiration!
Blonde, shoulder length hair. It's fine but there's lots of it.
Small Rectangle Cut Out Hair Claw.
The size of this hair claw is great for my fine but lots of hair. The barrel of the clip fits around the bulk of the twist and the teeth cross over tightly to securely hold the hair in place making this clip comfortable to wear all day long.
I use this clip to get all my hair out of my face in an 'up do', twisting it from the nape of the neck, bringing it up and putting the clip about half way along the twist. I sometimes use this clip for half up styles too, which also works well due to the teeth holding securely in the hair. The neutral colours this clip comes in work with any outfit. I have picked the new Crème Brûlée colour-way today.
Lots of long brown/blonde hair, quite fine, slippery and very straight! I sometimes find it difficult to get hair styles to stay put.
Ooh La La French handmade Mini Rectangle Barrette, particularly in Onyx or Mint and Peach Floral.
It is small enough, and closes firmly enough, to hold my super slippery hair. I don't even have to re-do it during the day. I 'm also obsessed with the Onyx colour in the handmade range, and the other floral colours this barrette comes in are really pretty!
I pull back half of my hair from the sides and top of my head and secure it at my crown with the barrette. Sometimes, I spray a bit of hairspray on it before adding the barrette to help it stay in place even longer.
Long hair with bangs (fringe), light auburn, medium weight.
French handmade Hair Clips, particularly the Narrow Hair Clip and the Small Flowers Hair Clip.
It's a cute way to pin back small pieces of hair! A little bling with the Swarovski crystals adds a nice sparkle to any outfit.
I twist a small side piece of hair and pin it to the back of the head, then repeat on the other side.
Thin, medium length, ginger hair.
Handmade Fabric Knot Headband.
The simplicity of these headbands is so good, it makes wearing them so easy and they do not rub at all. It looks like you have made so much effort, when really it only took a few seconds! I especially love the mustard colour!
I just place it behind my ears, drag some hair forward to the front to shape my face and either tie my hair up or leave it down to look effortless. Style win!
Long, thick and blonde.
The French handmade headbands. Especially the 3D Patterned Monochrome Lace Headband and the 20mm Headband.
It's super flexible, so comfortable, a classic design, and perfect when I wanted to grow out my fringe!
Part my hair in a centre parting, push back my fringe with the headband, voila!
Thick, wavy/curly, short to medium length.
It's so light weight and holds like a dream. Because it has so many teeth it grips and supports all my hair, keeping it up off my neck all day (and it only takes seconds!). Plus it looks so classical and elegant.
I brush all my hair back, do a low twist with all of my hair, flip it up and tuck it under the pocket made by the twist. Then I grab the top layer of my hair with the teeth of the comb, flip it over and push it under with enough tension to keep it's hold all day.
Silky, thin, medium-long hair with blonde/brown balayage.
I love how wearable the clip is and how it can easily take an outfit to the next level. Oversized clips are very 'in' at the moment, and the addition of the tiny pearls that cover the clip make it a must-have piece.
I use two snap clips either side of my ponytail to create a polished look. Or, I use one snap clip to put up a chunk of my hair at one side, and let the other side down for a beachy, understated look.
